We are seeking a skilled Commercial Laundry Engineer for a site-based role in the Heathrow area. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing on-site commercial laundry equipment, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a busy, high-demand environment.


This position is ideal for an electrically biased engineer who enjoys working in a fixed location and being part of an on-site maintenance team.

Job Type: Full-time (Shift-Based)
Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum
Hours: 4 on / 4 off - 7:00am - 7:00pm / 7:00pm - 7:00am (days & nights rotation)


Key Responsibilities


* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial laundry equipment
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on washers, dryers, and finishing equipment
* Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise operational downtime
* Ensure all machinery is operating safely, efficiently, and in line with site requirements
* Work closely with site teams to coordinate maintenance and repairs
* Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
* Support installation and commissioning of new equipment when required
* Follow all health & safety procedures and site regulations


Requirements


* Proven experience in a commercial laundry engineer or maintenance engineer role
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
* Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* Experience working with industrial or commercial equipment
* Ability to work independently within a site-based environment
* Good communication skills and a proactive approach


Desirable Skills


* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
* Experience in high-demand environments (e.g., airports, logistics, hospitality, healthcare)
* Familiarity with PLC systems and controls
* Experience with commercial laundry equipment brands
