Right Now Group are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor with the expertise to take ownership of all HR activities within the business. This is a standalone position, ideal for someone confident working independently in a dynamic environment and someone willing to support with implementing new processes and HR systems.
Job Title: HR Advisor (with Payroll Responsibilities)
Location: South Kensington
Reports to: Director / Owner
Working Hours: Part-time, 25 -35 hours per week
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 FTE
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, probation, performance management, development, succession planning, and offboarding.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK employment law.
- Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers and employees.
- Prepare accurate documentation for contracts, contractual changes, and terminations.
- Ensure HR systems and employee records are accurate, up to date, and confidential.
- Advise and support managers on ER matters such as disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations and attend or facilitate formal meetings when required.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on ER trends and risks.
- Manage monthly payroll in partnership with an external payroll provider.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, including PAYE, NI, and pension contributions.
- Assist in rolling out training and development programs
- Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing strategies.
- Provide data collection and reporting for group-level HR metrics and compliance.
Skills:
- Proven experience in a standalone HR role with payroll responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, payroll legislation, and employee relations practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Ideally CIPD Level 5 or above (desirable not essential)
