Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join one of the most successful regions of their TSM team, following the retirement of a long-standing employee. This is a unique opportunity to engage with an established customer base and contribute to a thriving business.

Candidates with a background in B2B sales (Field Sales) particularly those who have experience selling to Builder Merchants or M&E contractors, are encouraged to apply. This position is ideal for individuals looking to work with a market leader known for its innovative and well-regarded product offerings.

Existing experience within Construction, Utilities or Kitchen/Bathroom/Shower industries would be highly desirable.

The role is field-based in the South East, covering areas from Kent to Southampton (excluding London), and will require travel. A company car will be provided, and a full driver's license is necessary. Candidates located in or around East/West Sussex will be particularly well-suited for this opportunity.

Role Overview

As a Technical Sales Manager focusing on our clients high end product range, tasked with engaging with B2B customers, M&E contractors and providing excellent technical knowledge and support.

You will be required daily to support with sales, technical support, training and aftercare within the customer network. Working throughout the North West region.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with contractors ensuring all products become their product of choice.
  • Use these relationships to promote a complete package where relevant.
  • Convert new users to products in line with our sales objectives.
  • Administer activity (e.g. Customer Contact Details / Call Reports / Project Data) via the system ensuring all activity is reported in a timely manner.
  • Complete contractor training sessions & offer on-site support ensuring all contractors are competent in the correct installation of products.
  • Ensure merchants are fully trained and promote our clients products as their preferred products.
  • Achieve and exceed the agreed area sales targets.
  • Submit the details of projects secured to the Marketing Department so they can be used for case studies.
  • Work closely with local Specification Sales Managers to convert all specified projects.
  • Work closely with the Business Support team and ensure we maximise our potential in the area.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in B2B sales, who have sold into Merchants or Contractors.
  • Mechanical or Specifications related background.
  • Ability to build relationships and sell products.
  • Willingness to learn about technical products to ensure high levels of training.
  • Ability to work independently and plan your own diary.
  • Previous experience in working and achieving products.
  • Experience working for an industry leader or with industry leading products.
