Right Now Group are currently looking for an experienced Roadfreight Operator to join our client based in Leicester. You will be joining a rapidly growing Freight Forwarder who has experienced fantastic growth in its Roadfreight Division over recent years.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll play a key role in managing daily operations, building client relationships, and ensuring goods are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively through a strong network of partners.
You'll act as a main point of contact for key accounts, support commercial reporting and P&Ls, and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to deliver a seamless service.
Key Responsibilities of a Roadfreight Operator:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Roadfreight accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers, including conducting customer visits.
- Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions to ensure efficient shipment flows.
- Handle shipments, quotes, and queries promptly and accurately.
- Support with client reporting and P&L management.
- Input data and follow internal processes to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
- Take ownership of workload, demonstrating initiative and responsibility.
- Contribute to the growth of the team and wider business through proactive collaboration.
Candidate Requirements for Roadfreight Operator:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Roadfreight forwarding is ideal but not essential
- Proven background in customer service and client relationship management.
- Strong operational and financial awareness within freight forwarding.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ambition to grow and develop professionally.
