Right Now Group are currently partnered with an International Engineering client and industry leader who are recruiting within their re manufacturing team across the UK after a continued period of sustained growth.

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Production Operative to work on the refurbishment line for commercial coolers. This role is production-focused and involves working through a set refurbishment process from receipt and inspection to final testing ensuring each cooler is restored to operational standards and meets customer specifications. A background in refrigeration or mechanical/electrical repair is highly desirable.

Weekly Hours: 07:30 - 16:30

Salary: Up to £35,000

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive returned coolers, apply stock labels, and book items into the Dynamics system.
  • Conduct initial testing and inspection to identify mechanical or refrigeration faults.
  • Move units through the production process, including wash bay cleaning and internal/external prep.
  • Carry out repairs as needed, including component swaps, wiring fixes, and structural adjustments.
  • Perform re-gassing at the charging station, adhering to F-Gas handling standards.
  • Complete final testing and operational checks using diagnostic equipment.
  • Place units on the ICE BANK test station for full cooling performance verification.
  • Carry out final inspections and quality control to ensure each unit meets the production standard.
  • Monitor stock levels for spare parts and components using the KANBAN system.
  • Support in identifying root causes for warranty returns or field failures.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a production, assembly, or manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of refrigeration systems or components.
  • F-Gas certification or City & Guilds in Refrigeration.
  • Confident using hand and power tools for basic mechanical or electrical repairs.
  • Strong focus on quality, consistency, and meeting daily production targets.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to follow process steps and standard work instructions.
