Are you an experienced Production or Operations Manager looking to join a traditional and unique business where your skills and leadership will make a real difference?

Our client is a longstanding specialist in PU moulding, producing high-quality, custom components with all tooling and patterns made in-house, often bespoke for high end suppliers.

The successful candidate will lead a small, highly skilled team, overseeing intensive production processes, maintaining high standards, and ensuring the business continues to run efficiently. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a practical, close-knit environment and enjoys mentoring a dedicated team.

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Salary: £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Wymondham

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a small production team, fostering a positive, traditional work culture
  • Oversee multi-step manufacturing processes for custom components
  • Coordinate closely with the in-house tooling team to ensure smooth production flows
  • Monitor efficiency, staff utilisation, and production plans, reporting to the owners
  • Implement process improvements and changes in a controlled, safe manner
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and best practices

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing management, ideally within niche or complex processes
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills, able to motivate and support a long-standing workforce
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Experience introducing process improvements successfully
  • Solid understanding of H&S and workplace safety
