Our industry leading client is seeking a personable and dynamic HR Advisor eager to become a key part of their established and multifaceted UK HR Team.
The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in generalist HR practices, a good understanding of employee relations, and a willingness to perform general administrative tasks. Additionally, possessing a current CIPD qualification would be advantageous.
Job Title: HR Advisor
Position: Full-Time Permanent - 37 hours per week
Salary: 33k to 36k + Bonus
Location: Sheffield (Office based)
Please note that occasional travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and manage HR projects, focusing on process improvement and key development areas.
- Automate and develop new and existing HR processes, with a key focus on employee engagement.
- Coordinate employee on boarding from start to induction, providing an overview of the company's mission, vision, and policies.
- Work in partnership with preferred agencies to attract and retain the best talent, coordinating interviews, drafting job descriptions and managing offer stages.
- Overseeing temporary workers, ensuring that timesheets are being processed correctly and strict compliance rules are met.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Support case management of disciplinary and grievance cases, addressing a variety of complexities.
- Coach and support managers on a wide range of employee relations matters.
- Utilise HRIS software to manage employee data and streamline HR processes, including document storage.
- Monitor and manage employee sickness absence, ensuring appropriate support is provided for a timely return to work.
- Oversee the development and implementation of apprenticeship programmes and management of the apprenticeship levy.
- Facilitate training sessions and development programmes to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Provide general administrative HR support and further support to the wider HR team.
Ideal Skills/Qualifications:
- CIPD qualified with a comprehensive understanding of employment legislation.
- Proven experience in HR advisory roles within a Engineering/ Supply Chain & Logistics or Manufacturing environment.
- Strong generalist HR knowledge and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in providing HR support to Blue Collar workers
- Proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A calm and composed approach when dealing with complex situations.
- A strong team player.
