Our International client is seeking an experienced, hands-on finance professional to join their UK operation in a broad and varied Finance Manager role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a generalist finance background who enjoys being involved in all aspects of the finance function and is happy to "roll up their sleeves" in a standalone environment.

This role would suit candidates currently working as a Finance Manager, Business Controller, Head of Finance, with a hands on approach.

Role Overview

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the business while supporting commercial and operational decision-making. Your duties will include:

  • Managing the local and consolidated Profit & Loss (P&L)
  • Monthly forecasting, turnover planning, and financial reporting
  • Producing monthly and annual accounts
  • Supporting sales forecasting and project milestone planning
  • Project and service controlling for delivery and maintenance contracts
  • Commercial contract and cost management

Cashflow, Invoicing & Controls

  • Managing invoicing processes and credit control
  • Chasing outstanding customer payments and managing debt recovery
  • Ensuring accurate cashflow forecasting and control
  • Managing company costs and overheads
  • Banking and expense management
  • Asset tracking and internal financial controls

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensuring financial compliance with UK regulations and group standards
  • GDPR and internal financial compliance
  • Asset Financial control
  • Maintaining a legally compliant financial environment

Desirable skills

  • A broad, generalist finance background
  • Experience with Sage 200
  • Comfortable working across operational, commercial, and financial tasks
  • Happy to be hands-on and involved in day-to-day finance activity
  • Strong cashflow and stock control experience
  • Confident working independently and taking ownership
  • Experience with SAP or similar systems would be advantageous
  • Expert in Excel Pivot table, Vlookups etc.
