Right Now Group is working with a well-established organisation based in Feltham. Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Air Import Operator to join their team.
In this full-time, on-site role, the successful candidate will manage the import air freight process, ensuring timely and compliant movement of goods. This position requires strong organisational skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to handle both routine operations and urgent, high-priority shipments.
Salary: £32,000
Location: Feltham
Hours: Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities - Air Import Operator:
Manage the day-to-day import air freight operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely delivery of goods.
Handle all aspects of air import shipments, including booking, documentation (Airway Bills), customs clearance, and cargo tracking.
Communicate with airlines, ground handlers, customs brokers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth shipment delivery.
Negotiate rates with air carriers to ensure cost-effective solutions for clients.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all import shipments.
Key Requirements - Air Import Operator:
Proven experience in air import operations, ideally within a small team environment.
Knowledge of customs procedures and familiarity
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
