Air Export Operator
Right Now Group are recruiting for an experienced Air Export Operator to join a growing international freight forwarding business based near Heathrow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Air Export professional who is confident managing shipments from start to finish, including export customs, airline bookings, documentation, projects and exhibitions.
Working within a busy export operation, you'll take ownership of your shipments while liaising closely with shippers, customers, airlines, hauliers and overseas agents to ensure freight moves smoothly and on time.
Key Responsibilities of an Air Export Operator
- Manage Air Export shipments from start to finish, including collections, bookings, customs, documentation, monitoring and final billing.
- Coordinate project and exhibition shipments, ensuring time-critical and specialist freight is handled efficiently.
- Complete and process export customs entries accurately in line with UK HMRC regulations.
- Prepare and upload export documentation, shipping documents and PODs onto the freight management system.
- Liaise with airlines, hauliers, shippers, customers and overseas agents to ensure shipments move efficiently.
- Maintain accurate job files, invoicing and cost control while resolving operational issues and providing excellent customer service.
The Successful Air Export Operator
- Minimum 2 years' experience within Air Export freight forwarding.
- Proven experience managing Air Export shipments from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of export customs procedures and HMRC regulations.
- Experience completing export customs entries is essential.
- Experience with project or exhibition freight would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Location: Feltham
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
